Frequently asked questions
Is this the official, sanctioned Development Plan?
No. It shows the November 2015 modified draft that NMC published under section 28(4). The plan sanctioned by the Government of Maharashtra in 2017-18 differs in places and is not published online. See About and data sources.
Is this website run by NMC?
No. Nashik DP is made by Bora Technologies and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Nashik Municipal Corporation or any government body.
How do I check what the plan shows for my plot?
Search for your village and plot or survey number, or tap the locate button while you are on the plot. Then tap the spot to see the plot number, the plan colour, and any reserved site that lists that survey number.
How accurate is the "you are here" dot?
On our test of 44 road junctions, the map is typically within about 25 m and 90% of the time within about 83 m. It is weaker in Satpur MIDC and in Ambad, Pathardi and Wadala. Your phone's GPS adds its own error. The dot can be on a neighbouring plot, so check the plot number before relying on what you see.
My survey number is listed under a reserved site. Is my whole plot reserved?
Not necessarily. The plan report lists every survey number a site touches, and "p" (as in "264p") means part of that survey number. Look at where the site is drawn on the map, and confirm with NMC.
Can I use this to buy land, get a loan, or apply for building permission?
No. Use it to explore and to prepare your questions. For any decision, get certified documents (such as a zone certificate or part plan) from NMC's Town Planning department, and advice from a licensed professional.
A plot number is missing or wrong.
Plot numbers were read from the drawings by machine, so some are missing or misread. Send us the village, the number and a link to the spot, and we will look at it.
Will the map switch to the sanctioned plan?
If NMC publishes newer plan documents online, we plan to add them. We check NMC's website for changes, but we can't say when or whether new documents will appear.
Does it cost anything?
Viewing the map costs nothing today, and there are no ads. We may add optional paid features for professionals later; if we do, we will say so clearly on the site.
Do you see my location or saved places?
No. Your location is used only on your device, and saved places stay in your browser or app. See Privacy.
Is there an app?
We are preparing apps for Android and iPhone. This site will link to them once they are available in the stores.
