How to use the Nashik DP map

Updated 18 October 2026

Find a village or survey number, inspect what the draft drawing shows, and keep the source documents with your questions.

Start with the right expectation: this is an unofficial viewer of NMC’s November 2015 modified draft. It is not the sanctioned plan or a property verification service. Read about the data and its limits.

1. Search with the village and number

Open the map and type a village name, plot number or survey number in the search box. Combine the number with the village to narrow the results—for example, 161 mhasarul. The example shows the search format; it is not a statement about that property.

The results separate villages, plots and reserved sites. Select the matching result to open its map location or details. The same number can occur in different villages, so check the village as well as the number.

2. Check the drawing around the result

Zoom in and compare the printed plot number with the result. If a number is missing from search, inspect the drawing directly: plot numbers were read by machine and some are missing or misread.

Use the location button only as a starting point. Both the map alignment and your device’s GPS have errors; the dot can fall on a neighbouring plot. Search results and GPS do not establish a boundary.

3. Read the reserved-site details and source

When a reserved site appears, inspect its details and follow the source-page link to the planning report. A survey number in the listing does not establish that the whole plot is reserved; the existing report uses “p” for part of a survey number.

Open Data & sources in the map for the planning report, modifications, public notice and original map documents. Read the date and version rather than treating an older draft as a current approval.

4. Keep a useful reference

Use the copy-link control in a reserved-site detail card to return to that result. If something looks wrong, send a correction with the village, number and link to the location. Avoid sending identity documents or private property papers.

Use the viewer to explore and prepare questions. For a purchase, loan or building decision, confirm the current position with NMC’s Town Planning department and a qualified professional. See the FAQ and terms.
